Florence Dupré la Tour was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1978. She spent part of her childhood in the Champagne region of France and later in Guadeloupe before settling in Lyon. She began her career in animation before turning to comics.
After exploring fiction, children's and young adult literature, and experimental storytelling, she shifted her focus to autobiography, publishing Cruelle, Pucelle, and Jumelle with Dargaud.
In 2024, she contributed to the anniversary publication Mafalda, mon héroïne, which brings together around ten female writers and illustrators in a heartfelt tribute to the iconic character Mafalda.
The year 2026 marks her return to fiction with Les Moribonds, published by Casterman, as well as her debut in Glénat's catalogue with Calvitie. That same year, she also published Jeune et fauchée, a memoir that is both raw and humorous, exploring money, dignity, and downward social mobility.
